 SESplan Consultation

SESplan is the Strategic Development Planning .Authority for the Edinburgh and SE Scotland city region.
Its role is to prepare a Strategic Development Plan every 5 years that sets out a vision for the long term development of the region and deals with cross-boundary issues such as housing, green networks and transport. The current Plan needs to be replaced in 2018.

SESplan have now prepared a Proposed Strategic Development Plan, a draft plan that represents SESplan's view on what they think the final content should be. Comments, known as representations, can be made on the proposed Plan between Thursday 13th October and Thursday 24th November 2016. These should be made in writing using SESplans consultation portal: sesplan-consult.objective.co.uk. These should set out the specific changes you think should be, along with a justification for such changes, and should be limited to 2,000 words per issue.

The proposed Plan can be read and downloaded online at www.sesplan.gov.uk while hard copies can be read at libraries and Planning offices.

Consultation events are being held throughout the region. The only Fife event will be in Dunfermline City Chambers on 24th October. 3.00-6.30 pm will be on a drop-in basis. From 6.30pm there will be a presentation and Q & A session. For the presentation sessions spaces may be limited so, if you wish to attend, it is suggested that you e mail contactus@sesplan.gov.uk, phone 01506 282883 or write to SESplan, 2nd Floor, West Lothian Civic Centre, Howden South Road, Livingston EH54 6FF.
