Listening Exercise

John Hosie has been appointed by Mark Ruskell MSP to consult with communities and confirm their views on the reinstatement of this line for passenger services.

Two public meetings have been arranged for 7pm in Kincardine Community Centre on 13th May and in Alloa Town Hall on 20th May. These meetings will be attended by the main stakeholders and decision-makers. It is vital that the voices of communities feed into this process and that their needs, concerns and aspirations are heard.

The second round for bids for cash from the Local Rail Development Fund need to be submitted by 25th june and, consequently, comments are essential if our communities want to access these funds.

While most people see this as a link westwards, it should be remembered that there would be potential to connect to the the East Coast main line. Indeed, people seeking the reinstatement of the rail links to Len and St Andrews have highlighted the importance of the Dunfermline to Alloa line.

Please take the opportunity to attend one or both of these meetings to ensure that your views are heard. If you want further information, John Hosie can be contacted at
